Hello, My Name is Josh
I cringe every time I am asked to give my name in a restaurant, fast food joint etc. I know not why but there are very few people out there who hear the word “Paul” when I say my name. Much easier just to call myself Josh. Or Steve. Or … Recent names that have appeared on my receipts, starting with the one from today:
- Poul
- Pole
- Pawl
- Pull

At a starbucks a few weeks ago….
I was called Todd. I repeated my name.
I was called Tom. I repeated my name again.
Today, on the phone with Verizon, I had to SPELL my first name for the operator. S-P-E-L-L.
But really, I get Dan and Tom all the time.
Be thankful your name isn’t Maurice ;)

Really? That is depressing that people can’t even get Don right. Maurice is no good?? Drat, was going to switch to my middle name…

question then would be, how to pronounce Maurice? actually say the “Moreece” or say it Morris, the way your uncle does?
And I am heard to say Jerry most often on the phone, and sometimes Kari. Even when i try to enunciate on the “T”
